You can read any translated book .
The Hebrew world of literature is much more developed than the English one
I don't recommend reading translated books. Some of them are done very well, but many of them are translated poorly. I recommend reading an authentic English book written by a reputable author. Most of the magazines have serials, which might be a good place to start. (I don't actually read any of them, but in the rare occasion that I pick up a magazine, I'll read it, and even though I have no context because I haven't read the other chapters, I usually find the writing to be at a high level and the storyline generally seems very compelling.)

So it seems like the topic of discussion is English literature. Everyone approve?

The last book I remember reading was Family Secrets by Sarah Birnhack. I took it with me to the hospital when I had a baby. I had a private room and few visitors, so I had plenty of time to just read and sleep. I finished the book from cover to cover in the 2.5 days I was there (and it's 496 pages!). I don't think I've done that since I was a teenager! It was a really good book and I recommend it. The language is at a high level, so you may want to have a dictionary on hand.

Other than that, the only time I have to read is at the end of Shabbos when the men go to maariv and I can't clean up yet since I keep Rabbeinu Tam. Confession: This may or may not be the reason I keep Rabbeinu Tam.Then I just sit and read whatever old magazines we have on hand without feeling guilty. Every few months, I spend a few days in the hospital with my son and that's the other time I catch up on magazines. I think I just finished Succos תשפ"ב if I'm not mistaken.

I'm off to work now so no more from me until after Shabbos. Have a good Shabbos, everyone! Happy reading! ;)

Maybe one of the readers in this thread knows something, or at least knows someone i can tag on that
matter?
Actually I do, I did many of them for clients.
Where do you file tax returns? The tax office should do it for you (for an additional fee).
If you would like my office to do it for you, I can send you their contact info but I think they're expensive.

Do you have any specific issue about the form? It should be completed by the end of the calendar year so make sure to take care of it.

That is what I am looking for, an authentic English book.
Do you have any recommended magazines I can subscribe to that are delivered here in Isarel?
You sound pretty busy lady, may I ask if your son is ok?
Do you not read Diverei Chulin on Shabbat?

I don't get any English magazines on a regular basis, but I know Yated and Hamodia both are delivered here in English.
I am very busy BH. My son is a bit complex medically, but BH he is okay.
I don't have that much time to read on Shabbos (I prefer to sleep), but I mostly read the story in Hidabroot and then whatever magazines we have lying around. If that's called divrei chulin, then I guess I read divrei chulin on Shabbos. :)

What did you find? I only see it as Master of Social Science, which is not new. What is its new meaning that I don't know about?

Google says there is no such thing as Mss. in this context, so I am very curious as to what you've seen.
Correction what I wrote before: Ms. can be either a married or single woman. Miss is for a single woman.

actullay for me, it's very hard to read books or magazines in english on Shabbos, cause if i don't know one or two words i despair and stop reading, 🤨(and i don't have a dictionary book - i have only my computer .. so that)
btw for me it's easier to watch videos or listen music or Drashot
u can follow this for example (or somthing else:) :

thank u @RU1 for that chat!!

No, I read Hidabroot in Hebrew. I don't think it's available in English.

It's not Mss. There's only Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Miss. That's one thing that's not likely to change anytime soon.
